The Goshen Players is a community theatre in Goshen, Connecticut. They occupy the Old Town Hall which is located at the rotary at the intersections of Routes 4 and 63. The Players are very proud to be the second oldest continuously performing theatre group in the state, with Simsbury Light Opera being older by one year.

In 1949 the small group who gathered at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Albert Dolloff, wondering whether it would be possible to produce an operetta, probably did not consider that they were initiating a springtime tradition in Goshen. The first group, was composed of a few members with professional experience and a majority of amateurs with varying stage experience. Their presentation of Trial By Jury was such a success that they gave request performances in CornwallLitchfield, and West Torrington. Proceeds were divided between the Church of Christ, Congregational, and St. Thomas' Church, both of Goshen.

Musicals continued to be the group's focus, as they presented 46 different titles over the next fifty years. Beginning in 2005, they began to expand their offerings, and now feature a full season of productions. They believe that theater and the community are strengthened by diversity, equity and inclusion. They strive to create a safe environment for all people, where differences are acknowledged and embraced. They are committed to continually evaluating their work toward this goal and their doors are open to all.

Their recent past production was the absurd, manic and high-energy “Durang Durang”, which was a wacky and hilarious romp through a collection of short comedies by one of America’s wildest playwrights, Christopher Durang. Performances included The Actor’s Nightmare, Wanda’s Visit, Canker Sores and Other Distractions and Medea.  These performances were four of the funniest plays experienced in a long time - all in one night.
