Goshen Community Care’s Annual Light Up A Life Celebration Returned on December 5th
Goshen Community Care hosted the annual celebration—Light Up A Life—on Sunday, December 5th at 5 p.m. at Goshen’s Church of Christ Congregational.
“The holiday season can be a difficult time for many who are grieving a loss. This yearly gathering was a wonderful opportunity to remember and celebrate our loved ones who are no longer with us,” comments Mr. Patrick Reilly, Goshen Community Care’s President.
The service included music provided by Goshen Festival Singers and the solemn reading of names from our Book of Remembrance. The ceremony concluded with a festive lighting of a holiday tree outside the church and a reception in the Parish Hall. We extend special thanks to Sepples Tree Services for their assistance every year with hanging the holiday lights.
Light Up a Life is a fundraiser for Goshen Community Care, formally Goshen Community Care & Hospice. The nonprofit organization aids Goshen residents so that they can live in dignity, safety and comfort while aging in place in their homes. Programs include regular outreach to seniors, monthly lunch and social activities, loan closet with medical equipment, support for individuals returning home from the hospital, end of life support, and bereavement services.
We thank all those who made this event successful.
