Helen, 95, of Goshen, passed away Nov. 12 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Helen was born in Pine Plains, New York Sept. 3, 1930, daughter of the late Harry and Florence Wheeler. Helen is survived by her sisters Carol and Florence.

Madeline Cruoglio
Madeline (94) of Litchfield passed away peacefully in her sleep on Nov. 4. Madeline was born in East Orange, New Jersey on March 21, 1931 to Mary Katherine and John Sullivan and was raised also by Beatrice (Keaney) Sullivan. Madeline is survived by her devoted husband Leonardo and daughter Kara.
Eva Annette Zepecki
Eva, 74, of Litchfield, passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, following complications from Alzheimer's disease. Born Jan. 27, 1951, Eva leaves behind her devoted husband Stephen Zepecki Jr., and her children Alisa, William, Michelle.
M. Frances “Fran” Skerstonas
Fran, 96, passed away on Nov. 15. She was born to Charles and Frances Stamm on Nov. 9, 1929 in Bristol, Connecticut. Fran moved into Brandywine in Litchfield last year to have a safe and more secure environment.

Margaret C. Skilton
Margaret, 87, passed away Nov. 24. She was the wife of the late Douglas Skilton.
She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on Nov. 3, 1938, daughter of Michael and Pauline. Margaret is survived by her son, Joel and his wife, and her daughter Jennifer; her two grandsons, and her sister.
Raymond G. Engle
Raymond, 90, of Thomaston, passed away Nov. 16, at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 21, 1935 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, and is the son of the late Calvin and Benny Engle. Ray leaves behind his sons, Raymond, Wayne, Daniel, Robert, and Kevin; and his daughters Cheryl, Elaine, Rita Jean, and Patricia.
Ray Campbell III
Ray, 77, passed away Nov. 13. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen for 54 years. Ray was born in Key West, Florida on Nov. 10, 1948, son of Ray and Norma Campbell. Including his wife, Kathleen, Ray leaves behind his children, Carrie, Kristina, and Ray; his grandchildren.

Arlene Soja Arlene, 87, a devoted mother, mother-in-law, daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on Nov. 25 with her family by her side. She was born on July 12, 1938, to Joseph and Catherine Rinaldi in Torrington. She is survived by her children, Deanna, Brian, Thomas, Tami.

Erno passed away on Nov. 23, at HavenCare at Valerie Manor in Torrington. Born on May 18, 1936, in Alsobogat, Hungary, he was the son of the late Istvan and Erzsebet. He is survived by his loving wife, Erzsebet, and his children Robert and Catherine.

Carl, 87, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Nov. 21. Carl was born in Torrington on Dec. 8, 1937, son of the late Carl and Ann. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian. Carl is survived by his daughters, Karen, Diane, Gail, and Donna.

Mary Ann, 82, of Torrington, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 20 at her residence. She was born on May 5, 1943, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Laura, and her grandchildren.

Helen, 90, passed away peacefully on Nov. 20. She was born on April 18, 1935, in Torrington. Her parents were Florence and Merle Kurau.
Keith R. Chausse
Keith, 64, passed away, Nov. 19 after a grueling battle with small cell lung cancer. Keith was born in Torrington on April 16, 1961, son of the late William and Gertrude, and was raised by Walter and Ann Stockman. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal; his brother Dennis and his sister Diane.

Sherman, 76, of Torrington, passed away on Nov. 18 surrounded by his family. Sherman was born and raised in Torrington. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, AnnaMae. He leaves behind his son Karl and his daughter Amy.
Raymond J. Binette
Raymond, 76, passed away, Nov. 18, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. Raymond was born in Hartford on Oct. 30, 1949, son of the late George and Mary, and was a lifelong area resident. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Janet, include his son Joseph and two daughters Holly and Kara.
George Herbert Box, Jr.
George, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 15, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Born in Torrington, Conn., on March 31, 1958, he was the son of the late George H. Box, Sr. and Edna (Barto) Box. He will be missed by his daughter, Kira.

Albert, 78, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14. He was born on July 15, 1947, in Torrington, to the late Patrick and Josephine. Albert is survived by his son, Brandon and his daughter Christine; his brother, Joseph, and sisters, Rachel and Gloria.

Michael, 84, of Torrington, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14. He was born on Feb. 10, 1941, in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy, and later made his home in Torrington, Connecticut. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Antoinette; his sons, Michael and Richard; his brother and two sisters.

Joan, 82, of Torrington passed away peacefully on Nov. 12 surrounded by the love of her family.
Joan was born on Jan. 13, 1943, in New York City to the late Josef and Caroline Hormann. Joan's legacy lives on through her three children, Thomas, Robert, and Lisa, and grandchildren.

Katherine "Dale," 89, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11 in Torrington. She was born May 15, 1936, in Torrington, and was married to the late David until his death in 2019. She will be missed by her son, Richard.

Sherri passed away peacefully on Nov. 11. She was born in Torrington on June 1, 1952. Sherri is the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth. She leaves behind her sons, Jerry and David; her beloved grandchildren; and her sister Donna.

Matthew, 60, of Torrington, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by his family on Nov. 8. He was born on Feb. 6, 1965, in Waterbury to the late John and Jean. Matthew is survived by his siblings, Laura, Joyce, Michael, Jill, Randi, and Wendy.

Sandra died on Nov. 8 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was a loving wife to Allen, who passed away in July, 2014. Sandra is survived by Donna and Audra Kitner in St. Augustine, Florida, and Bryan and Natalie Plante in San Tan Valley, Arizona.

Edward Albert Sweeney
Edward, 99, passed away on Nov. 13. He was the husband of Ella, who passed away in 2024. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Jan. 14, 1926 to Mary and Clarence Edward. His sisters, Edna, Mary, and Rose, and his brother Charles predeceased him. Surviving siblings are his sister Gloria and brother Richard. Edward had five children. Patrick, Timothy, Robin, Dennis and Kevin.
James V. DiVita
James, 81, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12. He was the loving husband of Jeanne for 57 years. Born on Jan. 22, 1944 in Winsted; the son of the late Joseph and Theresa. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, James and Chris; nine grandchildren; sisters, Joan, Mary, and Sandra.

Janet was peacefully called away from this life, surrounded by her family, on Nov. 3. Born in Winsted, Janet was the daughter of the late Carmela and Herman Tamminen. Her memory will live on through her daughters Catherine and Nancy, and sons Michael, Joseph, and Nicholas.

Sharon, 59, of Winsted, passed away Nov. 2, peacefully at her home. She was born on Feb. 3, 1966.
Sharon was the beloved wife of Michael Burek. She was the cherished daughter of Larry and Mary Ellen Moore. She is also remembered by her brother Doug and sister Jo.

Dorothy, "Dot," of Winsted, died peacefully at Cherry Brook Health Care Center on Oct. 31, after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Charles for 63 years. Dot was born in Unionville on Feb. 26, 1933, to the late Joseph and Mary Chicos. She is survived by her children Charlann and Thomas.
