Janice Rachelle (Berube) Zampaglione, aged 82, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. Jan was born in Fall River, MA on April 11, 1943 to Henry and Rita (LePage) Berube. Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, James R. Zampaglione, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Zampaglione, and her parents, Rita (LaPage) and Henry Berube. Janice is survived by her son, Jeffrey Zampaglione and his wife Brenda of Litchfield, her grandchildren, Juliet and Taylor Lackey of Burlington, Katharine Zampaglione and Alexander Lockwood of Bantam. Janice’s great-grandchildren, Ruby Lackey and Carter Lockwood. She is also survived by her friends, The Loopers. Donald Edward Wright, 33, passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, July 10, 2025. Don was born on February 23, 1992, in Torrington, CT, the beloved son of Christopher and Mandy Wright. He was raised in Goshen as the seventh generation on his family’s historic homestead. The youngest of four, Don grew up surrounded by his three older sisters, a close-knit circle of cousins and friends, and a deep sense of community. Don’s greatest joy was yet to come. His daughter, Delaney Elizabeth Wright, was born just one day after his passing. Though he never got to hold her in his arms, Don’s spirit lives on in her initials, her smile, her fantastic head of hair, and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Remaining to cherish Don’s memory are his beloved wife, Catherine Elizabeth Wright, and their daughter, Delaney Elizabeth Wright; his devoted parents, Christopher James Wright and Mandy Lyn Collier Wright; his loving sisters, Genny Iva Wright Fullerton, Adrienne Lee Wright and her husband, Brad, and Myra Estelle Wright Ginter and her husband, Bill. Frederick Michael Clarke, age 83, of Litchfield, CT, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 after a long illness. Fred was born in Hartford, CT on August 11, 1941 to the late Ralph and Lois (Lathrope) Clarke. Fred is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Clarke) and husband Timothy Dubret of New Milford, CT; Fred was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sharon (Bedwin) Clarke and his sister, Isabella (Peck) Vincenzo of West Hartford, CT.
WINSTED:
Phyllis A. Spragg, 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025 after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Spragg and the late Gary Annis. Born December 4, 1942 in Hartford; the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Uskitis) Rosa. She is survived by her beloved children, Bruce Brosnan and wife Molly Herman of NY and Sarah Haynes and husband Bruce of Winsted; daughter-in-law, Cinzia Brosnan of FL; her former husband, Robert Brosnan of FL. Michael George DuBourg, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home. Born September 14, 1929 in Winsted; the son of the late Michael and Bertha (DuPree) DuBourg. There will be no formal obituary at this time.
Frank I. Holt, III, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his home. He was born May 9, 1952 in Hartford; the son of the late Frank and Shirley (Pulver) Holt. He is survived by his close sister, Lorene Peck and husband Gary of Winsted.
Nancy L. Suydam, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1930 in Winsted; the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Green) Suydam.
John Richard (JR) Krupinski, of Winsted Connecticut passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Hartford Hospital.
Born on January 13, 1948 in Torrington, Connecticut he was the son of John Joseph Krupinski and Eleanor (Kavesky) Krupinski. John is survived by his daughter Cheryl L. Bentley, sister Karen J. Krupinski, and brother Thomas J. Krupinski. John was preceded in death his wife, Margery Hull Krupinski.
