Julia Lewandowski

Julia, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 29, with her loving brother and nephew by her side.

LITCHFIELD

Michael Main

Michael, 62, of Litchfield, passed away on April 5 after a long battle with early onset Alzheimer's.

Michael was born in Torrington on Jan. 18, 1964, the son of Kathleen and Howard. He is survived by his two children Michaela and Nicholas,as well as his siblings Danny and Kevin. Michael is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his parents.

Harold Leo Ducey Jr.

Harold, 89, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 3. He is survived by his two children Andrea and Paul.  He is also survived by his four beloved grandchildren, and was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Ida.

Paul F. Murphy

Paul, age 74, of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly on March 31. Born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1951, Paul is the son of the late John and Margaret. Paul is survived by his wife of 48 years  Anne, and his siblings Robert, Kevin. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Susan Diane Monserud

Susan died on March 24 at the age of 85, following a short illness. Susan was born and raised in Cloquet, Minnesota, the daughter of Niels and Florence.  After graduating from The University of Minnesota Duluth, she studied and taught art in Norway. Upon her return, she met and married George C. Christie, then Professor of Law at The University of Minnesota. In 1967, George and Susan moved to Durham, NC. A year later, Susan gave birth to their son, Constantine G. Christie.  She is survived by her son Constantine, her two stepchildren, and her four step-grandchildren.

Joan U. DuMond

Joan, 84, passed away peacefully on March 23, surrounded by family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer She was born on Dec. 27, 1941, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Clarence James and Jeanne. She was the widow of Dennis.

Deena Ann Panasci

Deena passed away on March 23. She was the devoted mother of Ted, Nick, and Alyssa Platt. Deena was also a loving grandmother and beloved sister.

Glenn Robert Gravel

Glenn, 62, passed away on March 21 due to complications from a stem cell transplant after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on Sept. 9, 1963 to Reynold and Lenore. He is survived by her wife Ann, and his children Tucker, Hayley, and Kelsey.

THOMASTON

Patricia Grosso

Patricia, age 87, of Thomaston, passed away peacefully April 14 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born May 27, 1938, in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret. She leaves her six children Janice, Tommy, Ronnie, Debbie, Jody, and Brenda.

Joan O. Maloney

Joan, 93, passed away on April 2. Joan was born July 12, 1932, in Thomaston, daughter of Walter and Helen. She is survived by her son, Allan, and three stepchildren. Joan also leaves behind two beloved granddaughters, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Marianne and brother Eugene.

Shirley Jane Berube

Shirley passed away at 83 years old on March 31. Shirley was born in Waterbury on Jan. 1, 1943, a daughter of the late Harry and Juliette. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Peter and James.

Richard Patrick Clark

Richard, 85, passed away on March 30. He was the beloved husband of Marie Maybelline for 60 years. Richard was born in Meriden on Feb. 26, 1941, son of the late Maurice and Dorothy. Including his wife, May, Richard leaves behind his sons, John, Richard Jr., Steven, and Eric Clark. He is also survived by grandchildren, Steven, Kayleigh, and Shalan Paul, as well as his sister Carol, and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Janice.

Julio J. DelVaglio

Julio, 93, passed away peacefully after a well-lived life on March 19.  Julio was born in Stamford on Nov. 26, 1932, son to the late Pietro and Chiarina. Julio is survived by his children, Pamela, Lori, Tracie, and David DelVaglio. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas, Zachary, Chase, and Aliza. Julio is also survived by his sister Marie, and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his siblings, Cesare, Rachel, Gerald, and Peter.

Margaret “Peg” Perreault

With sadness, love, and profound gratitude for every memory and every moment, the family of "Peg" announces her passing on March 8. Wife of Roger Perreault and daughter of Eva and Steve, she was born April 28, 1940. Peg is survived by her devoted husband of fifty-six years, two children, and her two grandchildren, Fallon and Aria Roth-Perreault of Terryville.

TORRINGTON

Melissa “Missy” Woolford

Melissa of Torrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on April 14. She was the wife of Jarrod. Melissa was born Nov. 24, 1984 in Troy, New York to the late Donald Lee and Rosemary Lee. Besides her husband Jarrod, she leaves a sister Katherine, her father in law, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Theresa Daigle

Theresa, of Torrington, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She died on April 12 at the age of 101. Theresa was born on Aug. 18, 1924, in Waterbury to Edward and Sarah, and was the loving wife of Aurele. Theresa is survived by her children, Catherine, Raymond, Denise, and Tina Daigle. She also leaves behind grandchildren Melina, Melissa, Eric, and Craig. Theresa is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores C. Cardinale

Dolores, 91, passed away peacefully on April 7 at Havencare at Valerie Manor in Torrington.

Dolores was born in Waterbury on Sept. 30, 1934, a daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine. She leaves her two brothers, James and Thomas, and sister Laura. Dolores is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Louis.

Virginia “Ginny” Louise Pelletier

Ginny, age 85, peacefully passed away on April 3, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Ginny was born on Oct. 30, 1940, in Torrington, the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Dickinson. She is survived by her six children, as well as her two sisters. Ginny also leaves behind her 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-children, and many nieces and nephews.

Rosaleen Avery

Rosaleen of Torrington passed away peacefully on April 1. Rosaleen was born on June 25, 1949, in Derry, Northern Ireland. Rosaleen is survived by her husband Kenneth, as well as her children Conor and Caolan. She is also survived by several grandchildren and siblings.

Sharon E. Yorker

Sharon, 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 23. Sharon was born on Nov. 10, 1946, in Winsted, a daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude.

In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by two sisters, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kenneth “Doc” Wayne Cheney

Doc, 79, passed away on April 3 at his home in Washington Depot after a brief illness. He was born on July, 21, 1946 in New Milford to the late Kenneth and Marion. Doc is survived by his daughters Kristine and Kolleen, as well as his siblings William, Robert, Susan, Karen, and Joelene. He leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

WINSTED

Jadwiga “Babci” Majewski

Babci, passed away just shy of her 94th birthday on April 17.  Jadwiga was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved son, Charlie Majewski, and her great-grandson Christian. She is survived by her sons Eddy, and George. She also leaves behind several cherished grandchildren.

Doreen M. Lyon

Doreen, age 70 passed away peacefully March 30 surrounded by her loving family. Doreen was born July 12, 1955 in Winsted, a daughter of the late Albert and Vivian. She leaves siblings Christopher, Donna, and a host of extended family and close friends. She was predeceased by a brother Nicholas and her longtime companion and love of her life Roland J. "Rollie" Guilmette.
