Florence Petitti Collins - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Florence Petitti Collins on May 27, 2025. Florence was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on November 7, 1936, daughter of the late Cipriano (James) and Mary Petitti. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Conrad Collins.  Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Cindy Hazen, Kathryn Carr, Connie Hall (Barry), Suzanne Coons (John), and Conrad Collins (Shannon); twelve grandchildren, Garrett, Brooke, Ryan, Tyler, Ashley, Hilary, Chad, Jeffrey, Justin, CJ, Ethan and Brady, and eleven special great grandchildren. In addition, Florence is also survived by one sister, Marge and several nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by her brothers, James, Alfred, and Robert, and one sister Madeline. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org)

June Dalton-Morris, wife of the late Peter Dalton-Morris, Architect, and mother of Sarah Dalton-Morris, passed away April 23, 2025 during
a brief hospital stay, aged 93 years. She is survived by daughter, Sarah; also niece, Katie O’Rourke; nephews, Dr. Nicholas O’Rourke and Dr. Timothy O’Rourke of Australia and niece, Jenny Littlewood; nephew, Robert Dalton-Morris; and sister-in-law, Shirley Dalton-Morris of England. Donations may be made in her name to the Oliver Wolcott Library, P.O. Box 187, Litchfield, CT 06759.

 

WINSTED:

Michael F. Mallick, 78, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital.Born on December 4, 1946, in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Francis and Geraldine (Comeau) Mallick. He is survived by his two sons, Andrew Mallick and his companion, Rachel Mandelbaum, of Jackson, NJ, and Michael Mallick, Jr. of Vancouver, WA; his two daughters, Emily Mallick and her husband, Christopher Perry, of Millbury, MA, and Tracey Searle and her husband John Searle, of San Carlos, California; as well as two grandchildren, Sawyer and Michael Mallick.

James Michael Perotti, lovingly known as Mike, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and community spirit on May 6, 2025. Mike shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Judy. Mike was a proud and devoted father to Adam and Kristen. Mike was also a loving grandfather to Tyler, Lauren, Blaze, Enzo, and Maverick. Mike was a devoted brother to Robert and David.

Ann C. “Gramma” Jones, 85, passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day morning, May 11, 2025. Ann leaves her four children; Cheryl Jones, Barbara Mazzei (Richard), Robin Taillie (John), and Daniel Jones (Denise), six grandchildren; Ashley Jones (Darius Wall), Darren Taillie (Sara), Thomas Mazzei, Tara Bugel (Alex), Casey Taillie (Kathryn), Kyle Jones (Alexandra), adopted grandson, James Yuan, and four great grandchildren; Madison, Maryellen, Caleb, & Anne Taillie, siblings, Alan Chamberlin, Norman Chamberlin (Justine) and Marc Chamberlin, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth “Betsy” Carpentier, Dianna Opperman, Susan Dobbs Ackley and Georgia Aldrich.  Ann was pre-deceased by her beloved Bob, her sister Lynne Chamberlin Dwyer and parents Norman and Elizabeth Chamberlin.  Memorial Donations in honor of Ann can be issued to the Alex & Elizabeth Smith Scholarship Fund made payable to the First Church of Winsted, 95 N. Main St. Winsted, CT.

Richard H. Hazen, son of the late Ralph and Mary (Tracey) Hazen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2025, after a brief illness. Born September 19, 1943, in Manchester. Richard leaves his son, Richard J. Hazen and fiancé Ashley Greenbaum and granddaughter Ashlyn Hazen; daughter Tracey Hazen and her fiancé, John Mahoney; sisters Marcia Woulfe and Catherine Taft (Fred); brothers Robert (Karen) and Raymond (Debra). Richard also leaves his former wife, Ines Hazen, his sister-in-law, Valerie Hazen and many nieces and nephews. Richard was pre-deceased by his oldest brother, Ralph Hazen.

Patricia Mildred Paine, MA, 96, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. She was the wife of the late James Fischer Paine for 39 years. Born December 24, 1928 in Ogdensburg, New York; the first-born child of the late Edward James Mitchell and Mildred (Sampsell) Mitchell. She is survived by her two daughters, Arla Trusiewicz and husband Bill of Philmont, NY and Charlotte Paine of Winsted; her cherished granddaughter, Erica Trusiewicz of NY; and beloved siblings, Joseph Mitchell of Torrington, Charles “Butch” Mitchell of Watertown and Joan Cashman of WI. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two siblings, Burt Mitchell and Ann Boisvert.
