The Region 20 Board of Education unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Jeffrey Villar as the new Superintendent of the Region 20 district effective May 1, 2025.

The board is looking forward to Dr. Villar joining the team and bringing his expertise to our school district. We are currently in the critical stage of budget planning and are looking forward to working with town leadership to find a solution that works for everyone.

On March 25th, Goshen elected a new member to the BOE to take the seat vacated by Jannelle Carroll. Susan Wheeler is the newest member of the board and she will be representing Goshen for the remainder of Carroll’s term - which is set to expire on June 30th. In June, Goshen will go back to the voting booth (GCS gym) to elect a full-term board member for the next 4 years.

On Apr 3, 2025 the BOE voted unanimously to put forth a referendum to the 4 towns in the form of a $3.5 million dollar bonding resolution for security upgrades, facility improvements, and operational expenses as part of the Region 20 start-up costs. A detailed presentation was delivered by Jeffrey Villar.  The vote will take place in each town on Tuesday, May 6th.

The first ever Lakeview High School graduation is set for Friday, June 13th at Plumb Hill. It will be an outdoor event in the evening. Rain date is June 14th.
